Time: 3:30 Location: Rice University, Dell Butcher Hall Auditorium, Houston Speaker: Dr. Leonard Yowell, NASA - Johnson Space Center Topic: NASA needs Nano NASA has had a wide range of nanotechnology R&D projects underway for years. All of the projects near fruition are housed at Houston's Johnson Space Center under the direction of Dr. Leonard Yowell. His mandate is to have them implemented into flight systems within two years or less, so his team is very focused on real world vs. lab bench success. Dr. Yowell will share with us the specifics of these technologies and indicate some of the possibilities for commercial applications in the private sector. After introducing the NASA technology licensing program, he will give us a glimpse of some of the more extreme project pathways for the future. Join us for an engaging presentation where the sky is no longer the limit Cost: $25 — Student w/ID - $10 RSVP: Send name, title, and contact info to: jmccall@texasnano.org Pictures from the event: (click on the images for a larger view and description) |
