Denny Hamill, Ph.D.
Nanotechnologies, Inc.

Dennis (Denny) Hamill serves VP of Business Development at Nanotechnologies, Inc. He is also Chairman of the Board of Microelectronics & Computer Technology Corporation (MCC). This 18 year old company which was the nation's first high-tech R&D consortium and is owned by thirteen leading electronics companies, is working to spin out separate startup companies to commercialize its most important technologies.

Hamill retired from the 3M Company in 2000, having worked for the company since 1971. In his last position he led 3M’s Electronic Markets Center, delivering over $1.5B in products annually from to the global electronic manufacturing industry. Previously he held various technical, marketing and business executive positions in 3M’s electronics and telecommunications businesses.

Hamill is serving on boards and advisory boards of several other companies including Nanotechnologies, Inc. His consulting activities are presently focused on market and business planning in pre-IPO start-ups and in the area of technology transfer and commercialization. Denny received a BS and MS in Physics from the University of Wisconsin, and a PhD in Solid State Physics from Boston University.
